Tips
- The Ollie
- The Ollie is the basis for all other moves so it is important to learn them well and with good
form. It may also help to learn them on carpet or grass first as you slip less and it doesn't hurt as
much, but you'll have to learn them on concrete at at some point. The foot placement for an ollie is
with the ball and toes of your backfoot on the back of the tail and with your front foot in the middle
of the board or abit closer to the front truck bolts its usualy better move your front foot further
down the board towards your back foot to get higher ollies. What you basicaly want to do is to
push down with your backfoot and jump just before you hear the tail pop on the floor which will
bring the board up to your feet. You want to jump up with your front foot before you pop down the
tail and while in the air to slide your foot up the board to the front truck bolts. You then want to bend
your knees and land with your front foot on the front truck bolts and your back foot on the back truck
bolts centered over the board.
